The Iranian national volleyball team has reached the finals at the Asian championships with six consecutive victories, beating Japan 3-0 in the semi-finals.
Japan holds seven Asian championship cups and one Olympic gold medal. Iran will meet South Korea in the finals. South Korea beat China 3-2 in the semi-finals but it was already defeated once by Iran during the preliminary games.
This is the third time Iran's National volleyball team has reached the finals in these championships. In 2009 in Manila, Iran lost to Japan 3-1. In 2011 in Tehran, Iran defeated China 3-1 to win the championship.
The Asian games began in Dubai on September 28 and will wrap up on October 6.
