President Hassan Rohani’s speech to the United Nations has been lauded by senior Revolutionary Guards commanders and members of the clergy in Iran.
The head of the IRGC, Mohammad Ali Jafari, expressed his full support for the president, saying his statements were within “the framework of the Revolution and spoke for years of resistance.”
Iran’s Supreme Leader said in a recent speech that he supports “correct diplomatic movements” and “heroic flexibility.”
Meanwhile, the Friday Mass Imams of Tehran, Mashhad and Qom thanked Hassan Rohani for his statements to the UN General Assembly and expressed their full support for the president.
Rohani’s speech has been described as “rich and rational” and “representative of the Islamic order” by top members of the Iranian clergy.
