Ali Akbari
Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Ali Akbari has won gold at the 2013 Wrestling Championships in Hungary.
Akbari defeated world heavyweight champion Heiki Nabi of Estonia in the 120 kg category with a score of 4 to 0.
Mehr reports that this is the second gold medal for the Greco-Roman wrestling caravan. It’s also the first time Iran has won a gold medal in the heavyweight category of this discipline.
On Saturday, Taleb Nematpour won another gold medal in the 96 kg category.
