A group of expelled students who had been banned from continuing their education due to their alleged political activities or biases have been offered conditional acceptance by the Azad University and are allowed to register for the fall semester.
The Mehr News Agency reports that the head of registration at Azad University said the banned students have been allowed to register in graduate courses, adding that following the orders of the new head of the institution, these students were allowed to register starting on Saturday September 21.
In recent years, many students had been banned from continuing their education for alleged political activities or beliefs.
The new administration has promised to do away with extremist policies and allow the return of such disqualified students to institutes of higher education.
