The head of Allameh Tabatabai University has announced that some retired professors have now returned to the university faculty.
The Mehr News Agency reports that Hassan Salimi told reporters that some of the retired professors “had no problems of any sort and are now back at work.”
Under the leadership of the last university president, Sadreddin Shariati, scores of professors were forced into early retirement because of political biases. In addition, scores of students were expelled or suspended.
Sadreddin Shariati has now been removed and Hassan Salimi appointed as supervisor of the university.
