Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei says the issue of chemical weapons is nothing but an excuse to attack Syria.
In a speech to the members of the Assembly of Experts on Thursday September 5, Ayatollah Khamenei said the U.S. and its allies are trying for total domination of the region, and chemical weapons have been dressed up as a humanitarian cause when in fact they’re being used as an excuse to attack Syria.
He stressed that U.S. is in error in Syria and will suffer great harm as a result.
The U.S. and some of its allies are considering a military attack on Syria for the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime.
Beshar Al-Assad has denied the allegations, and Russia and China have stressed that foreign military intervention can only be justified by concrete proof.
