The head of Bushehr Workers House reports that workers at the Sadra Iran Marine Industrial Company (IMICO) have not been paid in over three months.
The company was recently sold by Khatam-ol-Anbia, the engineering firm owned by the Revolutionary Guards.
Sadra’s shipbuilding activities have been reduced in the wake of widespread economic sanctions. The report indicates that the company is half closed and many workers are sitting idle in the workplace.
Prior to the handover of the company, 90 technicians and engineers were laid off.
Sadra Company is located on the coast of Bushehr in southern Iran and is engaged in building and repairing of shipping vessels as well as oil platforms.
