Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, said in his sermon for the Fetre Eid Mass prayers that there is cause for great concern for countries in the region.
Ayatollah Khamenei condemned the “interference by foreign powers” in Egypt and stressed that it could leader to civil war in that country.
Iran’s leader went on to criticize peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine, stressing that “injustice and prejudice persist against the people of Palestine.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also accused “great powers and reactionaries” of supporting “terrorist groups”, adding: “In Iraq a government was elected by the majority vote but since the super powers and reactionary powers do not want this, they will not allow people to have peace.”
