The closure of the Kasra Carpet Factory in Yazd has left 120 workers unemployed.
ILNA quotes the head of the Yazd House of Workers, Ali Dehghani, saying that “the lack of liquidity and the shortage of primary material for continued production” have forced the factory to shut down.
Kasra Carpet Factory was launched 20 years ago, and seven of its workers in strenuous jobs were on the verge of retirement.
Dehghni reports that workers are filing a complaint at the Labour Ministry on the basis of what’s stipulated in their employment contracts.
