Iranian media report that 10 presidents and three prime ministers so far have confirmed their attendance at the inauguration ceremony for Iranian president-elect Hassan Rohani.
The Fars News Agency reports that the head of the ceremony, Mohammad Yasrebi, said five countries are also participating by sending heads of parliament, and another six are sending foreign ministers.
The report adds that no European country has announced any intention to attend the ceremony, and a representative of the UN Secretary General will be at the ceremony as a “special guest.”
The presidents of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Turkmenistan, Guinea Bissau, Togo and Tajikistan, as well as vice presidents of Iraq and Venezuela are among the guests expected at Hassan Rohani’s inauguration ceremony.
