Iran’s Foreign Ministry has denied a recent news report that Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Iran.
Abbas Araghchi told the Tasnim News Agency that he could not confirm the Russian president would be traveling to Iran, adding that no such visit has been scheduled so far.
He also denied news that Vladimir Putin is going to participate in the inauguration of the new Iranian president.
Yesterday, the Kommersant daily quoted an informed source saying that Putin is set to travel to Iran on August 12 and 13 to discuss the resumption of nuclear talks.
