Iran’s national futsal team has defeated Japan to become the Asian champion.
At the finals in South Korea, Iran defeated Japan 5-2 with goals from Alireza Vafayi, Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh, Mohammad Taheri and Vahid Shafii.
Elsewhere, Thailand claimed third place by defeating Kuwait in their final game.
Meanwhile, the Iranian women’s futsal team lost 2-1 to Japan in the finals on Friday, taking home the silver medal.
