The Iranian women’s futsal team beat Indonesia 4 to 0 in the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, securing a place in the final.
The Japanese team beat Thailand in the other semi-final game; therefore, Iran will face the Japanese team in the final on Friday. Iran was defeated earlier by Japan in the World Futsal Tournament in Portugal.
Japan’s futsal team has been the Asian champion for two consecutive years.
Iran’s best performance in these games was last year, when it placed fourth in the championship.
The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games are being held in Incheon, South Korea, and the event will continue until July 6.
Elsewhere in the games, the Iranian women’s Kabadi team finished in second place, taking home the silver medal in their discipline.
