President-elect selects nuclear negotiation team
Ali Akbar Salehi

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi announced that the new president, Hassan Rohani, has appointed a new group to continue with the next round of nuclear negotiations.

Speaking at a joint conference with his Tajik counterpart, Salehi said: “The next round of nuclear talks between Iran and the 5+1 will be carried out by Dr. Hassan Rohani.”

The actual members of this group have not been officially announced yet. Some reports indicate that Rohani may have made selections from a previous group of negotiators that accompanied him to the talks when he was chief nuclear negotiator, prior to the Ahmadinejad administration.
