Fahimeh Rahimi

Prolific Iranian romance novelist Fahimeh Rahimi passed away from gastric cancer on Tuesday June 18 in Tehran at the age of 61.
Rahimi had been fighting cancer for three years and was admitted to hospital in late May as a result of its latest complication.
Rahimi became a popular writer in the 1980s with her first novel, “Return to Happiness.” From there, she went on to write 47 novels, seven of which remain the top bestselling books of post-Revolutionary Iran.
Other works by Rahimi include “A Tower of Fog”, Forget Autumn!” and “The Lady of the Jungle.”
