Iranian Parliament has announced the inauguration of the new president will take place in early August.
Mohammadreza Bahonar, the deputy head of Parliament, said Hassan Rohani’s inauguration ceremony is likely to take place on August 4 or 5.
The Fars News Agency reports that the new president will have two weeks after the ceremony to introduce his cabinet, after which Parliament will have 10 days to review their eligibility.
Bahonar added that he will take time to visit the president-elect the coming days to congratulate him on his victory.
Hassan Rohani, the candidate endorsed by the Iranian reformist and moderate camp, won the presidential election on June 14 with more than 18 million votes.
