
The head of Iranian Parliament met with president-elect Hassan Rohani to discuss future collaborations between the two branches of legislative and executive government.
ISNA reports that in their first meeting, Rohani and Ali Larijani emphasized the need to address the economic problems facing the people and the country.
Rohani spoke of the meeting as the first step toward collaboration between the two government branches and as a prelude to their future interactions.
The head of Parliament, Ali Larijani, said several topics were discussed to address the country’s special needs in “controlling inflation and unemployment.”
Referring to people’s celebrations of his victory on the streets, Rohani said: “The people feel that good measure and balance with be re-established and, with the collaboration of all experts, the country’s problems will move toward a resolution.”
