Three labour activists have been fired by the Vahed Tehran Bus Drivers Company following a decision issued by the dispute-resolution committee of the Labour and Social Welfare office of West Tehran.
Nasser Moharramzadeh, Hassan Saeedi and Vahid Fereydooni have worked for the company for 14, 13 and nine years respectively, according to ILNA.
Saeedi claims that his dismissal and that of his colleague Vahid Fereydooni are connected with their participation in a group protest to follow up on city council promises to increase their wages.
Saeedi adds that the protest was effective in achieving a wage raise, but later, he and his colleagues were suspended from work.
Moharramzadeh’s dismissal is also connected with his previous labour activism.
