Shiva Nazar-Ahari
Iranian human rights activist Shiva Nazar-Ahari has returned to Evin Prison after authorities refused to renew her furlough.
The Human Rights Reports Committee says Nazar-Ahari returned to Evin on Saturday April 13. Earlier, some rumours had circulated that Nazar-Ahari had left the country.
Nazar-Ahari was given a temporary leave in March when similar furlough were granted to other political prisoners on the occasion of the Iranian New Year. She had been sentenced to four years in jail and 74 lashes for the charges of “enmity against god, propaganda against the regime and illegal assembly.”
She has been serving her sentence since last September.
