A severe earthquake rocked Shiraz on Wednesday evening, injuring a number of people near the southern Iranian city.
The earthquake, which occurred at around 8:30 PM, was registered at a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale.
The head of Fars Province emergency operations reported that three people were injured due to falls from stairs, but so far no fatalities have been reported.
The earthquake was followed by a number of aftershocks, but there are no official details of the resulting damages.
Iran is still dealing with the effects of the deadly earthquake that rocked northwestern Iran in August, killing more than 300 people and injuring more than 5,000.
