Mohammad Bagheri Motamed
Iran’s Mohammad Bagheri Motamed has won silver in the taekwondo men’s featherweight category at the London Olympics.
Bagheri Motamed lost in the final to Servet Tezegul from Turkey, after reaching the semifinals by beating Brazilian Diego Silva.
On Friday, Iranian taekwondo athlete Yousef Karami will face Spain’s Nicolas Garcia in the men’s 80 kg category, and Iran’s Sousan Hajipourgol will compete against Australia in the women’s 67 kg category.
With Bagheri Motamed’s silver medal, Iran’s Olympic caravan has now won four gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze.
