
Saeed Jalili Iran top nuclear negotiator and his delegation arrived in Istanbul today ahead of the talks with the G5+1 tomorrow.
Iranian media reports that Jalili is accompanied by foreign ministry representatives Abbas Araghchi and Ali Bagheri and their arrival is in Istanbul is ahead of all the G5+1 delegations other the Chinese.
Ali Bagheri is scheduled to meet with Chinese and Russian delegates tonight before the talks tomorrow.
French, British, German and Russia delegations as well as Catherine Ashton, the EU foreign affairs chief are to arrive in Istanbul later today from the United States.
Hillary Clinton has said in the past week that there is still hope for a diplomatic resolution to the nuclear disputes with Iran.
Jalili had also announced earlier that the Iranian representative will bring new initiatives to the table expressing hope that the G5+1 will also join the talks with a constructive point of view.
Head of the Russian lower house of parliament’s international affairs committee, Alexei Pushkov, said this week that the talks should continue until both sides reach a peaceful resolution.
There have been three rounds of talks between Iran and the world powers so far.
Iran insists that its nuclear program is peaceful but the West wants assurances that there is no military component to their nuclear activities.
