A bomb explosion near an Iranian pilgrim bus in Baghdad left several people dead or injured.
Iranian media report that the pilgrim bus was returning from Samarra when its journey was stopped by a bomb that exploded near Baghdad borders.
Ali Heydari, who oversees medical services for religious pilgrims, announced that “terrorist groups” had set up the bomb. He reported that one-year-old Mohammad Pishghadam and eighty-year-old Mohammad Khalili were killed in the incident. Another five people were reportedly injured in the bus.
In another incident yesterday, a bus for Iranian pilgrims was involved in a traffic accident near Najaf. Twenty-five pilgrims were injured in the incident but are reportedly recovering from their injuries.
A bus carrying Iranian passengers was also the target of an armed attack yesterday near Van, Turkey, which left at least eight people wounded.
