Afghan President Hamid Karzai has travelled to Iran to participate in the International Conference to Combat Terrorism.
According to Karzai’s office, he will hold a trilateral meeting with his Iranian and Pakistani counterparts tonight.
Topping the agenda are: the fight against terrorism, the war on the drug trade, and the expansion of relations and cooperation among the three countries in the political, economic and cultural arenas.
On Saturday, Karzai will speak about Afghanistan’s perspective on combating terrorism and the importance of collaboration among Islamic countries.
Representatives from more than 60 countries are reportedly attending the conference in Tehran.
