In just a few days, the Iranian year 1401 will come to an end. Nowruz is not only the start of a new year, but also, a symbolic moment of revival for better and brighter things to come. Through its crimes and utter disregard for human rights, the Islamic Republic has casted its shadow of darkness on the livelihood of Iranians young and old in these last few months. According to Iran’s Ministry of Health, 13,000 schoolgirls fell ill in the recent chemical attacks. Despite acknowledgement of this outrageous figure, no real answers have been provided but reckless blame placed on “enemies.” The regime will try to sweep its crimes under the rug of 1401 as Iranians continue to reach towards freedom in the new year.
