Beheshti Langaroodi has been on hunger strike since April 20 and in recent days he has also been refusing water.

On Friday May 6, after five days without water, he was reportedly in a severe state of health.

The Human Rights Activists News Agency reports that a preliminary checkup shows the political prisoner’s stomach is bleeding.

Activists have been drawing attention to Mahmoud Beheshti Langaroodi’s case on Twitter by trying to trend Freebeheshti# and the demand for his release has become the third-most important item on Twitter today.

Beheshti Langaroodi challenges his sentence and has vowed to reject all food and drink until his case is reviewed by the courts.
