Rasoul Bodaghi, a jailed teacher and a member of the Iranian Teachers’ Association, was released on Thursday April 29 after serving seven years in prison.
Bodaghi was arrested following the election protests of 2009 after being summoned for questioning in Eslamshahr.
He was sentenced to six years and five months in prison, which was upheld in the appeals court.
He should have been released two years ago but while in jail, he was slapped with new charges of acting against national security and sentenced to another three years in jail.
