The crash of an emergency helicopter flying from Khonj to Shiraz with a patient in critical condition killed all 10 people on board. The crew, the patient and a companion as well as a paramedic were killed in the accident.
On Friday March 25, the head of Fars Province emergency services reported the death of the 10 people in the rescue helicopter.
Jonoub News reports that the helicopter crashed in Kavar near Shiraz after hitting a high-voltage power cable.
Shiraz has two rescue helicopters, and since the beginning of the Norooz holidays on March 20, they have been used in several rescue operations, transferring injured individuals to Shiraz hospital.
