Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his delegation have arrived in Vienna to announce the implementation of the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the 5 + 1.
IRNA reports that he is accompanied by the head of Iran’s Atomic Agency, Ali Akbar Salehi, and Abbas Araghchi, his deputy ministry among others.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will also join the meeting in Vienna.
The final reports by the IAEA regarding Iran’s compliance with its commitments in the agreement are to be examined and published.
Iran’s compliance, according to the agreement, will mark the end of the international sanctions imposed on it for the past year by the U.S., Europe and the UN.
Following the meeting, Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini are to make a joint statement to the press.
Meanwhile, U.S. media reported yesterday that President Barack Obama has now empowered Kerry to allow the export of civilian passenger aircraft to Iran.
