The Iranian president has announced that the nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 will be implemented with due attention paid to all the concerns raised by Iran’s Supreme Leader.

In a statement, President Rohani described the nuclear agreement as a victory for the country and a recognition of Iran’s right to develop peaceful energy sources.
He described the nuclear deal as one of the most “hazardous and trying” tasks for the country, adding that the international sanctions took a serious toll on the country’s economy and people’s livelihoods. He stressed that the removal of the sanctions will mark a new beginning for the Iranian economy.
Ayatollah Khamenei wrote to President Rohani to indicate that the U.S. and Europe’s commitment to the deal must be ensured and that Iran should stop complying with the deal if those parties resume sanctions due to “excuses such as support for terrorism and the violation of human rights”.
Rohani has assured the Iranian Supreme Leader that his government will follow his recommendations, adding that compliance with the terms by the other parties will be continuously monitored and the Supreme National Security Council will respond if the other parties violate any terms of the agreement.
