Marzieh Afkham, the spokesperson for Iran’s foreign ministry, announced that no discussions about Syria have taken place between Iran and the United States.

Iran’s foreign minister met with the U.S. secretary of state for the second time in the past week on Friday October 2 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The discussions between Mohammad Javad Zarif and John Kerry reportedly focused on the draft of the nuclear agreement and the process for eliminating the international sanctions against Iran.
Reuters, however, reported that according to an unidentified “Iranian official”, the Syrian crisis and the Russian bombing of ISIS bases in Syria were also discussed.
On Saturday October 3, Iran’s foreign ministry denied reports by Reuters that the parties discussed the Syrian conflict.
