Mohmmadreza Nikzad, an executive member of the Tehran Teachers’ Association, and Mehdi Bohlouli, an independent teacher activist, were arrested in their homes by security forces on Monday August 31.

The Teachers’ and Workers’ Rights Website reports that some of their belongings, including laptops, were confiscated in the course of the arrest.
There are no reports about where they are or the charges against them.
The head of the Teachers’ Association, Esmail Abdi, was arrested in July and remains in Evin Prison, accused of “collusion to disrupt national security” and “propaganda against the regime”.
Rasoul Bedaghi, Ali Akbar Baghani and Alireza Hashemi are another three teachers’ rights activists currently in jail for their labour activism.
Teachers have held frequent protests across the country this year to demand wage and benefit parity with other public employees.
