Penelope Cruz is reportedly acting in Asghar Farhadi’s next film, which will be shot in Spain in October of 2016.

The Shargh daily reports that veteran Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar is one of the film’s producers.
Farhadi has told Shargh that he has always admired Cruz’s acting and spoke to her a year ago about his idea for his next film.
Cruz has also expressed her interest in acting in Farhadi’s film and told the press that she accepted the role without reading the script because she considers Farhadi an excellent director.
Farhadi won the Oscar for the best foreign film for his film A Separation.
His last film, The Past, which was his first to be made outside Iran, was nominated for the Golden Globe and César awards, and Bérénice Bejo, the film’s female lead, won the best actress award at Cannes.
Farhadi will make his seventh film in Iran and then go on to Spain to make a film with American and Spanish actors.
