IRNA reports that Zarif will return to Tehran as previously scheduled and rejoin the talks in Vienna again later.

An American official has reportedly told the media that Mr. Zarif’s trip to Iran and his departure from Vienna is not of concern to the negotiating parties.

The unidentified official was quoted as saying: “We have consistently said that the minister need to consult with their capitals…this is a good sign.”

Meanwhile the June 30 deadline is approaching fast and the parties have made references to extending the deadline by a number of days.

Zarif met with John Kerry on Sunday and later met with the British and German foreign ministers.Reports indicate that the Russian foreign minister may join the group on Monday June 29 and China is present in the talks at the level of deputy minister.
