Ali Shamkhani, the head of Iran’s Supreme Security Council, says he is the first person on the list of Iranian figures with whom Western countries are seeking interviews in connection with the nuclear negotiations.

The Fars News Agency reports that Ali Shamkhani, the head of the Supreme Security Council, said in an interview broadcast on May 30: “Twenty-three people are on the list, and our negotiating team has not conceded to this request.” The other names on the list were not identified.
Shamkhani said it is not clear what questions the negotiating parties intend to ask.
In recent weeks, there have been statements about the 5+1 demanding that interviews with Iranian nuclear scientists be part of the nuclear agreement.
Iran’s Supreme Leader said on May 20: “Now they are presenting new demands in the negotiations; they say they want to interview nuclear scientists. These are interrogations. I will not allow strangers to talk with the scientists and dear children of our nation.” Ayatollah Khamenei has also said that the inspection of Iran’s military facilities is out of the question.
