Abdollah Shahraz, a teacher in the City of Khash in Sistan-Baluchistan, was shot to death by unknown assailants on Tuesday May 19.
The Khash governor told ISNA that Shahraz was killed by bandits near Takht village, three kilometres from the main road.
According to the report, Shahraz was driving with his three children when he was shot by passengers in another vehicle. The cause of the attack is still unknown and, according to the Khash governor, investigations are underway.
In the past year, a number of teachers have been killed in similar attacks, and authorities maintain that 20 people have been arrested in connection with the shooting of teachers in that same period.
Sistan-Baluchistan in southeastern Iran has also been the scene of several deadly attacks on military Revolutionary Guards officers in recent years.
