Three Iranian security officers were killed in an attack by unknown assailants at a mobile police station in Hamdieh, Khuzestan.
A spokesman for Khuzestan security forces said unidentified assailants targeted a tent that was set up as a police station during the Norooz holidays to provide “peace and security for the Norooz traveller” and killed three officers.
“The identity of the assailants and their motives remain unknown and so far they have not been linked to any groups,” Colonel Mousavi said.
Two other officers were injured in the incident but they are said to be recovering from their wounds in hospital.
No further details have been released about the incident.
