While the Iranian foreign minister announced that the 5+1 and Iran are very close to reaching a deal, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry travelled to Saudi Arabia to deliver a report about the nuclear negotiations with Iran and calm concerns among the Gulf states about the latest developments.
Iran’s Mohammad Javad Zarif said on NBC that a resolution is close, although some details still have to be settled before a final deal can be reached.
Zarif added that the Iranian delegation is prepared to work without a break toward a final resolution to meet an interim deadline set for the end of March.
He added that a deal can be reached and it would not be harmful to anyone.
The parties are trying to reach an agreement on the general issues under negotiation by the end of March and they have set June 30 as the deadline for finalizing a detailed draft of the agreement.
