Iranian President Hassan Rohani says Iran has taken all the necessary steps in the nuclear negotiations with the 5+1 and “it is now the opposing parties’ turn to take advantage of the circumstances.”
President Rohani said on Tuesday February 10 in a meeting with India's Supreme National Security Adviser in Tehran, that there have been “good progress” in the negotiations, adding that there is some distance left to get to a final resolution.
Rohani’s statements come after the U.S. president said the 5+1 has offered a deal on which Iran must make a decision.
Obama also said there has been good progress but added that there needs to be agreement on the framework of the agreement in order for the talks to continue.
While both parties report that they have managed to reduce their differences, both sides appear to believe that it is the other party that has to take the next step.
