Iran’s nuclear negotiators began talks with delegates from three European countries on Thursday January 29 in Istanbul.
Senior Iranian negotiator Abbas Araghchi said the one-day meeting is aimed at speeding up the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the 5+1. “We want to speed up the process and find solutions to the remaining differences,” Araghchi said.
The Iranian delegation is meeting with German, British and French representatives. Helga Schmidt, the deputy to the EU foreign policy chief, was also to be present at the meeting.
Earlier this month, Iran also had direct bilateral talks with United States representatives.
