Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told IRNA that in his meeting with U.S. State Secretary John Kerry, they discussed the details of an agreement to finalize the nuclear negotiations.
Zarif told a group of reporters in Tehran on Monday January 19: “We had a frank and serious discussion with John Kerry and have reached the details.”
Zarif met with Kerry last week in Geneva and the two reportedly spent six hours together.
Zarif told reporters on Monday that there has been all-around agreement on all general issues. “The principle of enrichment, the lifting of sanctions and the preservation of Iran’s nuclear programs have been accepted by all parties,” Zarif said, and now it is down to working out the details.
The next round of talks with the 5+1 to reach a comprehensive deal to end the nuclear disputes with Iran is to take place next month.
