Iranian political activist Abdollah Momeni has filed a complaint with the judiciary for the recent attack against him near his home by two cyclists wielding machetes.
The Kaleme website reported two days ago that two motorcyclists attacked Abdollah Momeni while wielding machetes, adding that the he suffered some “superficial wounds”.
Momeni’s son reports that they contacted the police at the scene to report the incident and also went to the coroner to prepare a report of the injuries for the purposes of the complaint.
Momeni is a prominent student activist and in 2009 was arrested in the wave of arrests targeting dissidents that followed the election protests. He was sentenced to five years in jail and was only released less than a year ago.
