The meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry lasted six hours yesterday in Geneva.
Reuters reported on Thursday that Kerry told a press conference in Bulgaria today that he will probably meet again with Zarif in Paris on Friday January 16.
Iranian deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi told Central News Agency the bilateral talks have set a better stage for the coming negotiations with the 5+1.
Araghchi said technical expert delegates also joined the six-hour meeting between Zarif and Kerry at some stage.
Kerry and Zarif reportedly took a walk on the streets of Geneva.
Zarif told reporters that the talks were positive and revealed determination to move forward and accelerate the negotiation process.
Zarif is currently in Berlin and is set to travel to Paris and Brussels in the coming days.
