Iran’s football team won its second victory in the Asian Cup games with a 1-0 victory against Qatar. The win guarantees Iran’s place in the next round of the competition.
Last week, Iran beat Bahrain 2-0 in its first game of the championship, which is taking place in Australia. The Iranian team met with the Qatari team in Sydney on Thursday January 15.
The Iranian supporters celebrated their team’s victory on the streets of Sydney after the game.
The two top teams of the group, UAE and Iran, will meet on Monday. The UAE is at the top of the group having beaten Bahrain 2-1 and Qatar 4-1.
