The Iranian foreign minister and his U.S. counterpart have arrived in Geneva to begin the next round of the ongoing nuclear talks
IRNA reports that Mohammad Javad Zarif met with John Kerry before noon on Wednesday January 14. Zarif is reportedly set to travel to a number of European countries to met with European leaders.
At this point in the negotiations, the main points of contention between Iran and the 5+1 are the amount of uranium enrichment that Iran will be allowed, the timeline of removing international sanctions against Iran and the deadline to reach the comprehensive deal.
Bilateral talks between Iran and the U.S. will be continued on Thursday by Zarif and Kerry's respective deputies.
The parties have so far set July 1 as the deadline to finalize a deal.
