Iranian Parliament has once again rejected President Rohani's candidate to lead the Ministry of Science and Technology, voting 171 to 70 against his appointment on Tuesday November 18.
Behrouz Nemati a spokesman for the administration has reported that the ministry may now have to be supervised by the president himself.
In accordance with parliamentary regulations, the president introduced his choice for 15 minutes during today's session and then Fakhreddin Danesh Ashtiani spent half an hour describing his plan for the ministry.
In view of the conservative factions of Parliament Danesh Ashtiani is linked to the protests of 2009 and the Reformists that lean for to the left of their faction. Similar criticism was made to the previous three candidates presented by President Rohani.
