Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Muscat, Oman on Saturday November 8 to attend trilateral nuclear talks with U.S. Secretary of State and former EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.
IRNA reports that John Kerry, Ashton and Zarif will meet for talks on Sunday and Monday in Muscat.
The Iranian foreign minister had announced earlier that uranium enrichment and the issue of international sanctions against Iran will be the chief topics of discussion in Muscat.
Iran is in the midst of nuclear negotiations with the world powers, and the parties have set a deadline of November 24 to reach a final and comprehensive deal.
