Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdolahian has slammed the U.S. bombing of Syria, saying the illegal attacks will only lead to greater extremism in the region.
Amir Abdolahian told ISNA: “If the U.S. were acting in good faith against ISIS forces, instead of targeting the Syrian oil and gas industry and its infrastructure, it would stop the flow of dollars to ISIS forces through international financial institutions.”
Amir Abdolahian said regime change will never happen in Syria through “the strengthening of terrorism and showy military attacks on ISIS.”
The Iranian official stressed that only the Syrian people should decide the fate of their country.
