Gonabadi Dervishes staged a protest on Sunday September 28 in front of the Ministry of Justice. The Majzooban-e Noor website reports that that the peaceful protest ended after representatives of the dervishes met with the Ministry of Justice.
The dervishes reportedly stood holding hands in the presence of security forces.T
he report adds that the Minister of Justice has asked for one week to organize a meeting between the dervish representatives and the heads of the judiciary and Parliament.
This is the third time dervishes have gathered in Tehran to protest the mistreatment of jailed Gonabadi dervishes.
According to the report, at least 1,000 people had joined in on Sunday's protest.
