The appeal hearing for eight Iranian Facebook users sentenced to heavy prison terms will take place on September 28 in a Revolutionary Court in Tehran.
Shima Qosheh, the attorney for two of the accused, told IRNA that the hearing will take place in Revolutionary Court Branch 54.
The individuals are accused of “propaganda against the regime”, “insulting sanctities” and “insulting government officials and other individuals.”
The accused are from various Iranian cities: Yazd, Shiraz, Abadan, Kerman and Tehran.
The sentences issued in these cases include imprisonment terms ranging from two to eight years as well as fines and lashes.
